A remarkable feat: a marathon across the capital of North Korea, which is still closed to tourism.

Making the most of the client’s footage was essential to telling the story of such a complex place and subject, alternating immersive imagery with shocking moments.

I wrote and directed the studio segment, designed to carry the narrative forward and complement the travel footage, and edited the entire piece with careful attention to bringing out both the contradictions of the country and the more human side of the people who live there.

Un’impresa degna di nota: una maratona nella capitale della Corea del Nord, ancora oggi chiusa al turismo. 

Valorizzare il footage del cliente era essenziale per raccontare un luogo e un tema così complessi, alternando immagini immersive e momenti scioccanti.

Ho scritto e diretto la parte in studio, pensata per portare avanti il racconto e accompagnare il footage del viaggio e montato il tutto avendo cura di far emergere sia le contraddizioni del Paese, che il lato più umano delle persone che lo vivono.
